Recent Updates: Climate Policy (04/19); Home Page--"Relevant Readings/Books" (04/19)
Welcome to the official website of Global Warming: FACT, a University of Wisconsin-Madison student organization that seeks to dramatically improve
public awareness and discussion of global warming and its consequences.
The website is still partially under construction, so please be patient if a page is not yet available. Also, sources are not yet listed, so please
email to obtain them if desired.
The purpose of this website is to educate viewers on the science, consequences, and controversies related to global warming. This website can and
will change, and I encourage visitors who have questions about site material or related topics or suggestions for topics/info that should be added to the site to
send an email.
This is not mindless propaganda in support of global warming. I state here that, based on personal reading/research, I am not completely convinced that global warming is
undoubtedly a "crisis" caused by anthropogenic greenhouse gas emission. However, as it stands, increased greenhouse gas emissions imply some degree of warming--how much relative
to what has been observed is not clear. But concern is warranted, and thus taking steps to reduce our emissions is common sense. CO2, methane, and other greenhouse gas
emissions pose a risk to our future.
